This little kid named David just got surgery on his mouth. He is in the parking lot in the car with his dad outside of the dentist. He is a little loopy from the medicine.....ok, very loopy! This is one of the funniest things I have seen....this kid is so awesome....pay attention to how random he is!

Early Birds Club!
What is an Early Bird? Well, once or twice a month, every 3rd, 4th, and 5th grader is invited to an early morning PE club. We meet in the gym at 7:00am before school even starts....we average anywhere from 130-150 kids each meeting. To kind of put that amount into perspective...it is like having 8 Kindergarten classes in the gym at one time! WOW! INSANITY! But, let me tell you that it has been a joy this entire year waking up early to spend a little extra time with my students.
The morning usually goes a little something like this:
7am arrival, where they hang out with buddies and wait for things to get started - 7:05 I will talk to them about the previous EarlyBirds meeting. We usually go back over the character-building word from the last month (responsibility, compassion, etc.) - 7:15 is when the games begin! This has involved massive games of Stingray, Gymnastics, CrazyDice, Rock/Paper/Scissors tournament, "CoachSays," and many other large group games. We even had a Karate team come in and do an entire class with them. - 7:45 we will calm back down and eat breakfast...thanks to our wonderful and gracious staff and parents, we usually feast on biscuits and drinks from Claudes. - 8:00 I will introduce the new character-ed word and talk to them about choices they may face throughout the day. Kids really chime in with questions, comments, and concerns during this time. I love it! - 8:15 Students gather their things and head on to class. In hand, they have a calendar of next month's EarlyBird meeting, as well as a character strengthening questionnaire that they will fill out with their parents.
My ultimate vision and goal for this club was altered at the beginning of the school year. I truly believe that Satan did his very best to change the direction that I wanted to go with the EarlyBirds Club. My fiance, Jenny, was quick to point out the effects of Spiritual Warfare! I wanted this to be an FCA-affiliated club very badly, however, we ran through some legality issues that kept us from pursuing this venue. Will I give up? NO! But, I am convinced that I cannot do this without trusting in the one and only God. If I am not saturating myself in his word than I am not able to fully understand the will he has for my life. Maybe the EarlyBirds Club is not in the foreseeable future, but I need God to show that to me....and I cannot allow him to do so if I do not have a personal relationship with him.

Funding Factory
Over the past 4 years here at Youth Elementary we have been contributing to an on-going recycling program called the Funding Factory. Students will bring in their old cell phones and used ink cartridges to the gym. I will box up those items and send them off to Erie, Pennsylvania where they will be collected. In return, the Funding Factory will send our school money to purchase new PE equipment. As of right now, we have raised approximately 10,000 dollars....which has replenished our equipment room and more than tripled it in size. I usually do different contests throughout the year to motivate the students to bring in items to recycle: The PizzaBus, Parties at JumpZone, Raffles for Prizes, and many others. I highly recommend using this company to generate funds. It is very low-maintainence, and the customer service ladies are as nice as you can find anywhere. If you do decide to join the Funding Factory feel free to use my refferal ID# 45631. Their website is http://www.fundingfactory.com/ - if anything, check it out and see for yourself!

....I am getting Baptized....
Through prayer and counseling, as well as conviction, I have decided that I am going to get baptized at Loganville First Baptist. It will be during the 3rd service at 11:00 am on Sunday March the 1st.
I actually surrendered my life to the Lord in 1999, when I was a freshman in college. I can honestly say that my life has dramatically and radically changed. Being a Christian is a lifestyle...and I believe that with that lifestyle comes responsibilities. There are 3 main reasons that I am getting Baptized: I want to follow Jesus Christ's example, the Lord commanded it, and I want to show that I am a believer in the one and only way to eternal life. My road to this decision has not been easy, especially since I have been saved for quite sometime. I have fought through internal fears of humility, doubt, and way too many self-rationalizations to account for in the past year....especially when it came to Baptism. I was not ashamed of my decision, 10 years ago, to lay my life at the cross at 3:00 in the morning of Napier Residence Hall, sobbing in tears of joy! I will not be ashamed of it now! Thank you Lord for your Grace and Mercy with me!
2 Corinthians 5:17
17-Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Yes he still perches in his seat....
For those of you who don't know....I have a younger twin brother of mine, Jason. I am two minutes older, which gives me complete reign and control over everything that has to do with the both of us. That list of things has gotten smaller as we get older, but it did include: 1st player controller on the video games, the prize in the bottom of the cheerios box, and first shower in the mornings before school. Since then, we have evened the score a little bit....he got to marry first, have kids first, and lose his hair first. On a serious note....he has become my best friend, and I love him and his beautiful family so very much! Check out his wife Nicole's Blog at "this site right here" ! You can see pictures of their little ones!

Moonwalk it out.....
It goes without question that Michael Jackson is the best dancer alive! I have always been amazed by the moonwalk....it is by far the coolest dance move that someone can do. If I could do it, I would glide around the house everywhere I went, but I cant. Also, as cheesy as it sounds I like watching someone do a good Robot dance with a little Pop-n-Lock thrown in there. If you haven't seen the show "America's Best Dance Crew" this year you ought to check it out.....at least one group each night does the robot, moonwalk, or something to that effect. I record it on my DVR and then fast forward through all the commercials. CHECK THIS OUT - it is an extremely weird, yet awesome dance group! Lemme know what you think about them......ROBOT GROUP.......

..and this is why we don't use steroids!
I have always wondered why people would want to use steroids. Personally, although I would never use them, I think it would be cool to see what my body would look like after using steroids for a month. Now let me re-state the fact that I would never use them...but I think of it like jumping over the lion cage at the zoo, then immediately jumping right back. It would be an adrenaline rush that one time, but the consequences are way too deadly to ever try it....even once! I found this video on YOUTUBE that shows some of the consequences of taking steroids.... this looks painful! (not for the squeemish)

call me the Postman.....
ok....so, this happens to be my very first post on my new Blog. You're probably wondering why in the world do I have my high school basketball picture up? Well, it so happens to be my Ten-Year reunion in May! Thats right...Loganville High School class of '99! I have to admit that I am kinda nervous about the whole thing. I have kept up with a lot of my friends from high school thus far, but most of the people I graduated with I havent seen since '99. By the time we have our reunion it will be a month shy of when I am getting married to Jenny...I wish that I would already be married by then, but oh well....May reunion-June wedding...aint no thang! I think that ten years ago the cool songs were by bands like Matchbox20 and rapper Sisqo...oh, and N'sync...can't forget them! All of those Scream movies were a big hit as well. I, personally liked to scream during silent and very tense parts of the movie...it made for a good jump in the packed theater. I couldn't imagine the beatdown I would get by teenage girls if I tried to do that during Twilight! Speaking of which, I took one for the team this year and watched the midnight showing of Twilight on a schoolnight with Jenny.....(I wanted to stab my eyeballs out with the straw in my coke.) I know I know...if I read the books I will understand it more....Boooo on that! Well, anyways...I am going to try to keep this Blog updated at least every other day....Add me to your Favorites!
